PROJECT BRIEF:

Equans and local authority partners requested DETAILED feasibility reports across numerous sites to ASSIST APPLICATIONS for PSDS (public sector decarbonisation scheme), covering sectors such as leisure, public, education, local authority, and commercial office space. Pearsons completed a suite of reports AND CALCULATIONS assessing the suitability of installing low carbon technology, such as removing gas boilers and replacing them with air source heat pumps. Considering the commercial benefits of this, alongside the health and safety, budget control, and CDM regulations, we minimised risk and maximised success.

THE RESULT:

Alongside stakeholder satisfaction, our work was pivotal in securing more than £10 million support in grant funding. Due to this achievement, we were invited to deliver the M&E design work on air source heat pumps, LED lighting, and solar power across these buildings. From the critical feasibility stage successfully through to design and installation, Pearson designed, planned and supported the project management FOR the delivery of these low carbon schemes. As a result, the carbon emissions of local authorities have been and are being successfully lowered. We are pleased to say that we are continuing to work with Equans and their partners through PSDS phases 1, 2, 3 and 3b.
